Imaginisce: Valentine's Day Kids' Craft

Today I'm sharing a super fun and simple Valentine's Day craft that will be perfect for any child to make, and pass out to friends...

Glow Stick Arrows

Supply List
Imaginisce: Welcome Spring (Confetti, Hello Spring, Die-Cut Tags, Adhesive Gems); My Baby (Sweet Baby Girl, Baby Girl Chevron, Pink Elephants on Parade, Die-Cut Tags)
American Crafts: Baker's Twine (red)

These little glow sticks are actually bracelets. So, as long as you keep the little plastic piece attached, after your child passes them out...all his/her little friends just need to slip off the arrow attire, and activate for a cool accessory.

You won't feel to badly about wasted time, because they are so simple to make! I just used a slot punch twice on a die cut heart, a cut out piece of chevron patterned paper, and a die cut tag for the sentiment.

Then, I topped the 'arrowhead' with another heart of the exact same size using foam tape. To finish it up, I embellished with punched out smaller heart topped with a gem...and tied a little baker's twine to the end.

Bella Blvd: Inspiration Week - Lucky Starz

For the past few weeks, we have been sharing project made with the 4 new collections over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog.  Today, we are once again highlighting the Lucky Starz collection...

Pensive

For the simple design of this page, I just layered 2 - 4x6 pieces of patterned paper with 2 - 3x4  to ground my photo...and topped it of with my title and embellishments. Then, I just matted my 8.5x11 page to a full sheet of patterned paper to convert to 12x12.

Supplies:Lucky Starz: Bell Pepper Starz, Pickle Juice Starz, Carrot Starz, Candid Cards, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Designer Tape: Orange Stripe

My son Oliver is such a brute, but sometimes he really can be so sweet.  I snapped this picture of him while we were having a serious conversation about some concerns that he had...I couldn't help it, he just looked so cute.

You won't want to miss the other fabulous projects made with the Lucky Starz collection, so head on over to Bella Blvd to check them out!

Bella Blvd: Free 4 All

It was free-for-all projects over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog yesterday. I'm dreaming of warmer weather, so I chose to create with Sand & Surf...

Oval Beach

I love to use layers. It's a fun way to incorporate a lot of different patterns without making your project look too busy. It's also a great way to get themed journaling cards or embellishments to fit the theme of your page. Here, the black an white journaling card was about traveling...and we weren't really on a vacation, it was just a day at the beach. So, I flipped the card upside down, and tucked it behind the photo. This way I could still benefit from the lines for my journaling.

Supplies:
Sand & Surf: Paradise, Surfs Up, GPS, Borders, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Designer Tape: Yellow Chevron

Every year I try to get a photo of all 5 of my kids at Lake Michigan. Most years, I come away with pictures...but they leave a lot to be desired :P  Someone's got an attitude, not everyone is looking at the camera, or it just happens to be an overcast day. This time I was lucky enough to have my 15 yr old nephew behind me, who apparently ...is hilarious :)

Head on over to Bella Blvd to see what the other girls created, you won't be disappointed.

Imaginisce: My Baby

Hi! Today I'm sharing a couple of projects made with the My Baby collection from Imaginisce.  I guess I'm kind of glad I'm so behind on my kids' albums...so that I have some baby pictures to scrap with this adorable collection :) My page is of Oskar...who is now 3, and still without a baby book.

Sweet Baby

I started by cutting out banners from the Baby Boy Banners pp.  I thought they would look cool crisscrossed for a background. I kept the rest of it pretty simple...baby photos are usually cute enough :)

Supply List
Imaginisce: My Baby (Baby Boy Banners, Blue Hippos, Blue Moon and Stars, Boy Die Cut Tags, Boy Plastic Buttons, Boy Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, Boy Adhesive Gems
American Crafts: Baker's Twine, Glitter Tape, Knock Outs interchangeable Border Punch System

This collection comes with the cutest little stamps, and I couldn't wait to make a card with these little giraffes...

Wee Little One

I thought about trying to give the giraffes some spots with a little chalk...but, I couldn't bring myself to do it. The image looks so crisp and clean, so I just let it be.

Supply List
Imaginisce: My Baby (Blue Moon and Stars, Blue Hippo, Baby Boy Cardstock Shapes, Baby Boy Plastic Buttons
American Crafts: Baker's Twine, White Cardstock

Such sweet collection for any baby project...and the girl papers are just as cute.

Bella Blvd: Molly Mini Album

We're sharing projects made with the new collections over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog. Yesterday we featured mini albums made with Molly and Max.

Leah & Lauren: 11 Years

Supplies:
Molly: Sketch with Style, Refuse to Sink, Sparkle & Shine, Boy Crazy, Unlimited Text, Candid Cards, Paper Pieces, Trinkets, Treasures & Text; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White, Green; Designer Tape: Chevron Combo, Cotton Candy Chevron; Feathers: Ice Feathers

For this mini album, I've used 9 badge holders containing wallet sized photos. In between each photo, I've attached a paper piece by punching a hole, or using already existing negative space. When deciding what order to put the paper pieces on, I chose to go from smallest to largest, so that everything could kind of be seen from the front. Then, I ended it with a 4x5 tag in the bag to hold the title.
Go on over to Bella Blvd to see an adorable album made from the Max collection by Laurie Schmidlin.

Bella Blvd: Inspiration Week - Lucky Starz

It's Inspiration Week over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog, and we're revealing projects made with the new collections all week long!  Today we're sharing projects made with Lucky Starz...

Oliver

I always love the multi-color circle patterned paper that comes in many of the Bella collections...but, I have a hard time incorporating them into projects.  For this page, I cut several of the colored circles out, added some doodling, and punched some shapes for interest.  Then, I had some fun finding places to tuck them in. It was a great way to add color, without making things look too busy.

Supply List
Lucky Starz: Gulf Starz, Oreo Starz, Carrot Starz, Candid Cards, Treasures&Text
High Five Alpha Stickers: Green

I just love that little camera...I actually just cut that out of one of the 2x2 Candid Cards.

You won't want to miss all of the other amazing projects created with Lucky Starz, so head over to Bella Blvd to check them out!

The addition of the Candid Cards are probably my most favorite thing about the new collections. Here, I used two of them in my long title.  I love how using different fonts can add so much interest.
