Color Combos Galore #233 - Captivated by Coral

It's Friday, and that means another beautiful Inspiration Board from Color Combos Galore....

Happiness:

Supply List:
Stampin' Up! - Cardstock (Early Espresso, Whisper White, Apricot Appeal, Groovy Guava); Patterned Paper (Blushing Bride 6x6 Designer Series); Ink (Groovy Guava); Journaler (Going Grey); Baker's Twine (Early Espresso); Doily Die; 1/2 inch hole punch; Rhinestones
American Crafts (Dear Lizzy - Neapolitan) - Tag, Stickers, Polaroid Patterned Paper
Lilybee Design - Letter Stickers
Apple Barrel - White Paint
Ek Success - Border Punch

I chose Inspiration Photo #2, and included a tag and doily, seen in Photo #4.  I also used paint as prompted for Photo #3. This was my first time ever using paint spatter on a project, and I absolutely loved it! I will definitely be doing it again :)  I mixed a little bit of Groovy Guava  ink refill from Stampin' Up! with a little bit of White Apple Barrel Paint, and just slung it off of my brush onto my LO a few times. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

So Lovely:

Supply List:
Stampin' Up! - Cardstock (Groovy Guava, Early Espresso, Apricot Appeal); Baker's Twine (Early Espresso); Punches (Large Scallop, 1/2 inch hole, 1/8 inch hole)
EK Success - Border Punch
American Crafts (Dear Lizzy - Neapolitan) - Tag, Chipboard Flower
My Mind's Eye - Patterned Paper
Making Memories - Button
Lilybee Design - Letter Stickers
Pebbles - Clothes Pins
Maya Road - Resin Blossoms

I used Inspiration Photo #1 using cabochons for the 'Focus on Accents' prompt.  I also included a tag with the sentiment, and mini clothes pins from Photo #4.

I based my card off of this sketch from Cardabilities:

Although, I rotated the focal point to vertical...

You won't want to miss out playing along with these colors, I had so much fun digging through my stash to find things to match up:)  Remember the deadline is the end of the month for all of February's Inspiration Boards.

These are inspirational ideas that can also be read from the photo.

(But it would be fun to throw in just a few! ;D )

Beautiful Boy:

Supply List:
Stampin' Up! - Patterned Paper (Garden Green grid, Perfect Pear argyle, Old Olive polka dot); Cardstock (Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery); Linen Thread, journaler (Old Olive); 1/4, 1/2, 1 inch circle punches
Maya Road - Chipboard Stars/circles
Echo Park - ticket
Paper Studio - Patterned Paper (notebook); sticker
My Mind's Eye - Patterned Paper (cream)
Fancy Pants - rub on (Beautiful Boy)
Cosmo Cricket - Patterned Paper (stitches)
Unknown - buttons

I chose Inspiration Photo #2 for the LO, and listed my journaling.  I also used circles (as seen in photo #4), for extra inspiration. I may have a couple of extra shades of green in there, I went a little crazy pulling everything out of my stash that was green :) Trust me, I have a lot! But, I also wanted to use this photo...so, I was trying to make the green in his shirt 'fit in' with the rest of the LO.

Always:

Supply List:
American Crafts - Cardstock (Off White)
Stampin' Up! - Cardstock (Crumb Cake); Stamps (Fabulous Florals, The Art of Life, Small Script); Ink (Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive); Linen Thread, Rhinestone; ribbon
Spellbinders - Label die
Unknown - button

I chose Inspiration Photo #1 for my card, and tried to make a bouquet similar to the one shown for my 'clustered elements' Designer's Challenge.  I also used a circle again (as seen in photo #4), and chose a label die that had a circle base.  This card may look a little fussy, but honestly, what took the longest was cutting out the stems...and even that didn't take much time. They all had pretty straight lines.
LOVED these colors (green is my fave), and I hope you join in the fun.  Remember, the deadline for all is the end of the month...

ColourQ #176, Inkspirational #7

Took a little time to make a card today....

The current color challenge over at ColourQ:

Plus this challenge from Inkspirational:

Equals this card from me:

Supply List:
Stampin' Up! - Cardstock (Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Basic Black); Patterned Paper (flower, polka dot); Rub - On; Linen Thread
American Crafts (Dear Lizzy - Neapolitan) - Patterned Paper (stripe)
Spellbinders - die
Cuttlebug - Embossing Folder (Cane Back Chair)
Ek Success - Border Punch

I've been really diggin' on all of the chalkboard elements that I've been seeing lately. So, I decided to try and see if I could get a chalkboard-y type of look on a card.  I used a Spellbinders die on some black cardstock, and just rubbed some white chalk over the center.  I erased some of it from the very middle, and applied a white rub on for the sentiment. Not nearly as gorgeous as the things I've been seeing everywhere else, but, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out :)
I realized I'm a day late for 'love' themed projects...but, I just didn't have time to get it done yesterday. At least I have a card ready for next year...

Isn't this a beautiful Inspiration Board?

We now have:
5 Beautiful Colors
4 Gorgeous Photos
4 Designer's Challenges
16 Prompts

Go to Color Combos Galore to join the fun!

I'm also linking up for the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays:

My Card:

Supply List:
Cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand)
Patterned Paper - Cosmo Cricket (Upcycle)
Stamps - Stampin' Up (Hello, Doily); Prima
Ink - Stampin' Up! (Sahara Sand)
Letters - American Crafts (Patchwork); Rusty Pickle (Abstract)
Other - American Crafts (Buttons); Stampin' Up! (Rhinestones, Embossing Folder); Bloomerie (Baker's Twine)
Punches - Stampin' Up! ( Heart, Pennant); EK Success (Border)

I chose Photo #4 from the CCG Inspiration Board, and for the Designer's Challenge used the word 'LOVE' as the sentiment on my card.  For additional inspiration, I chose to incorporate all of the other 3 'Focus On' challenges in my card.  There is twine on the buttons, embossing on the panel behind the sentiment, and stamping on the background. I also used pennants which are seen in photo #1.

We will have a new board weekly, and the deadline for all is at the end of the month.  I hope you will join us!
