Scrapbook Circle: 1 Product/2 Ways

This layout was up on the Scrapbook Circle blog on the 26th of July featuring the Heidi Swapp Memory Planner Stickers.
Fun
I really liked the color scheme of the stickers, so I pulled out everything that matched. I felt like the pool pics were the perfect aqua color, and the wood grain background made an awesome contrast. I layered to pieces of paper from the 6x6 pad, arranged my photos, and just started tucking things in.

Scrapbook Circle: Designer's Choice

This page was up over at the Scrapbook Circle blog on July 23rd featuring the Today is the Day along with the You've Got This embellishment add-on kit.

Summer Fun & Sunshine
I had a lot of fun with this one. I loved the ray paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and right away paired it up with the die cut sun from the Simple Stories Bits and Pieces. The clouds from Fancy Pants' puffy stickers were a no brainer after that :)

I decided to cut the ray paper in half diagonally and stitch them in opposite corners. Then I arranged my photos along with some more fun embellishments between them. The bottom half of the ray paper was the perfect spot for my title.

Scrapbook Circle: Telephone Game

This layout was up on the Scrapbook Circle blog for the July installment of the Telephone Game Challenge.

Happy Moments
Just like the game, we use the previous month's challenge layout for inspiration...passing it on to a new Creative Team member each month. Here is Jung's layout from June..

I was inspired by the grid made of patterned paper. I chose a piece of paper from the 6x6 pad found in the You've Got This embellishment add-on that already had a triangle grid pattern on it.
I cut the squares apart, enhanced the triangles with some stitching, and used it as a mat form my photo.
Then I went to town adding  a bunch of super fun embellishments from the kit.

Scrapbook Circle: 1 Product/2 Ways

This page featuring the Pink Fresh Studio 'Happy Words' paper, was up over at the Scrapbook Circle blog on June 28th.

Color Runners
I chose to make different shaped tags from the paper using some of the phrases that I thought fit the theme of my page. I layered them, tucking in some embellishments before stitching them down.
Be sure to check out this post HERE to see how Scrapbook Circle DT member, Diana Waite used the 'Happy Words'....and for even more inspiration, visit the Scrapbook Circle Idea Gallery.

Scrapbook Circle: June Printables

This page was up over at the Scrapbook Circle blog on June 16th, using the printables that coordinate with the Now or Never kit...

Last Day of School
This month's printables were filled with lots of fun triangles, which I thought were a perfect addition to an already busy layout.
I cut around the letters from this 'awesome' paper,  tucked the photo underneath, and added a few heart embellishments.
I used the triangles to draw the eye around the page, and layered a few of them to the right, using the top one for my journaling.

Scrapbook Circle: DT Choice

Happy Father's Day! Today, I'm sharing a page that I had up on the Scrapbook Circle Blog last Sunday.

Best Dad Evah
Along with June's Now or Never kit, I used a scrap piece of paper from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place 6x6 pad found in the Stay Cool embellishment Add-on from the April kit to help mat my photo.
That little addition of scrap paper really comes in handy for tucking in bits and pieces, and helping the photo pop out a little bit more from the background. That cluster of flowers is made from elements out of the Bella Blvd She Blooms paper pieces found in the main kit.
One of my favorite things to do is use different fonts for longer titles to add a little bit of interest. A little stitching and hand written journaling finish the look.

Scrapbook Circle: Tech Tip

Hi again! I was up on the Scrapbook Circle Blog on June 8th sharing a few tips on my layering process. I'm not very tech-y, or technique-y for that matter...but I do have a few tricks when it comes to putting my pages together.

Happy Sweet Nerd
I usually start by grabbing the products I know I want to use, and just move them around with my photo on whatever background I have chosen. When I am pleased with how it looks, I take a photo with my phone. Here is the phone pic that I took of today's layout before I stuck everything down:

I also make pencil marks to make sure I start in the right place, and don't run out of room at the top or bottom once I start putting things back together. Here, I marked where the white space was going to be...

The picture and pencil marks are guidelines for putting my page back together, and I can add more detail as I stick things down...like hidden journaling and stitching.

I might even change things around once it's coming together, and add a few more embellishments.
I have a hard time committing...I have never been a peel and stick kind of girl. So, these simple tips have really helped me to get creative with my layering....and remember how to put it back together!
